Description

Fast assistance can save lives in an emergency! However, according to the German Society for Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine (DGAI), not even half of all first-aiders carry out life-saving procedures in an emergency. Even using just simple resuscitation measures can triple the probability of survival, for example by immediately carrying out a cardiac massage. The LifePad® from Beurer can help with this and give the first-aider peace of mind.

How is the LifePad® used correctly?
The LifePad® is easy to use and requires no prior knowledge. All steps to be taken in the event of an emergency are clearly illustrated directly on the product. To start, all you need to do is pull the battery strip. The acoustic signal that sets the rhythm of compression sounds immediately. The red markings clearly indicate how to place the pad and your hands on the person's chest, and the flexible material adapts perfectly to the person's body shape. The LifePad® features an acoustic and visual feedback system to indicate the optimal compression depth and frequency. The rhythm signal indicates the frequency of 100 beats per minute. Compression must be applied on each acoustic signal, and released after each acoustic signal. In addition, a coloured LED indicator helps the user to ensure the recommended compression pressure. This provides specific assistance, especially for lay people in overwhelming emergencies.

An emergency helper – at home and on the go
The resuscitation aid was developed with patented technology together with Innotas AG, a Swiss medical technology company. Beurer also works together with the Björn Steiger Foundation, which has been working for more than 50 years to improve emergency assistance and rescue services in Germany.
